Terms of Service
Last updated 2 September 2026
These Terms govern your use of StreamTest (the “service”). By using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. What the service is
StreamTest is a free technical tool for testing and analysing streaming endpoints you supply. We do not host, own or control any stream, playlist or media content — see our Disclaimer. The service is provided free of charge and may change or be discontinued at any time.
2. Acceptable use
You agree that you will not:
- test, access or process any content you are not authorised to use, or that infringes any copyright, trademark or other right;
- use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law;
- use the service to circumvent geographic restrictions, access controls or digital-rights management on content you are not entitled to access;
- overload, abuse or disrupt the service — including automated bulk requests beyond the provided tools and rate limits, denial-of-service attempts, or probing our infrastructure;
- attempt to test internal, private or loopback network addresses through our servers, or otherwise use the service to attack third-party systems;
- upload or submit content that is malicious, or that is illegal to possess or distribute.
You are solely responsible for the URLs and content you submit and for the legality of testing them in your jurisdiction.
3. Public results
Tests run without an account, and tests you explicitly mark public, are added to the public feed. Do not submit anything as a public test that you would not want to be publicly visible. We may remove any content or result, and may restrict or terminate access, at our discretion — for example in response to abuse or a valid removal request.
4. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
5. Intellectual property
The service’s own software, design and written explainer content are ours or our licensors’. Content you test remains the property of its respective owners; nothing here transfers any rights in it.
6. No warranty
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that results are accurate or complete, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StreamTest and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service. Because the service is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability to you will not exceed USD 100.
8. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless StreamTest and its operators from any claim arising out of your use of the service or your violation of these Terms, including any content you test.
9. Changes and governing law
We may update these Terms; continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms. These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at our principal place of operation, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect.
