StreamTest

Disclaimer

Last updated 2 September 2026

StreamTest is a free, technical diagnostic tool for testing and analysing streaming media endpoints — HLS (M3U8) playlists, MPEG-DASH (MPD) manifests, IPTV M3U playlists and XMLTV programme guides. Please read this disclaimer carefully.

We do not own or control any streams or links

StreamTest does not host, store, own, operate, control, endorse or have any affiliation with any of the streams, playlists, manifests, URLs, channels or media content that users choose to test. All URLs and content are supplied by the user at the moment of testing. We are a diagnostic utility only — comparable to a network ping, an HTTP checker, or a browser developer console.

Any URL entered into StreamTest is provided entirely by the person using the tool. We do not curate, index, recommend or maintain a catalogue of streams. A URL appearing in a public test result reflects only that someone chose to test it, and implies no ownership, hosting or endorsement by us.

Technical testing only

The service exists to help developers, broadcasters, IPTV operators and QA engineers verify that a stream is reachable, correctly formatted and well configured. It reports technical facts (online status, codecs, bitrate, manifest structure, timing, and specification compliance). It is not a media player, a content distribution platform, or a means of accessing, redistributing or circumventing access controls on any content.

Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for the URLs and content you test and for ensuring you have the legal right to access and test them. You must not use StreamTest to test, access or process any content that you are not authorised to use, that infringes intellectual-property rights, or that is unlawful in your jurisdiction. See our Terms of Service for the full acceptable-use policy.

No warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Diagnostic results are provided for informational purposes and may be incomplete or inaccurate; they should not be relied upon as the sole basis for any decision. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure.

No affiliation

StreamTest is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any streaming provider, IPTV service, standards body, or any other testing tool or website. All product names, logos, brands and trademarks are the property of their respective owners and are used, if at all, for identification purposes only.

Copyright and takedowns

Because we do not host any stream or media content, there is generally nothing for us to remove. If a public test result references a URL or thumbnail relating to content you own and you would like it removed from the public feed, contact [email protected] with the details and we will remove the result promptly.
